Is there anyway to fit a tire of this size on the front wheels of a 96 Maxima?

Lemme get this right...You want to fit a 10-11" wide tire on a rim that is meant for a 6.5" tire?

No, you cannot...You may be able to squeeze it on there, but it is in no way safe.

Typo?? Hope you meant 205/50. If you did, yes they fit.

Nope I meant what I typed. I was just wondering if anyone had fit such a wide tire on the front wheels.

Final answer, NO.

You can barely fit 225s, and even that is probably dangerous.

Slicks are different. You never mentioned that.

Check with the manufacturer of the tires for the recommended rim widths to mount it on. 6 inch wide wheels can have at most 225 for most radial tire brands (look for the rim width range, anything else can be dangerous): http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...=Potenza+RE950

Not really slicks they have a DOT number but thats not important. I know that you can not put a 11 inch tire on a 6 inch rim. I thought you meant that on a Maxima you could not fit any tire wider than 225.
