Volk?

(1)This is probably the biggest reason. COST. Volk's are not cheap by any means. When you are going to drop upwards of at least $1,800 for wheels, its a lot to consider. Granted the Gram Lights are less expensive than this, the LE's and TE's are a good bit more.
(2)Time it takes to get them. Unless you are really, really lucky and find a distributor that has them in stock, expect white a wait. FYI, I ordered my LE37T's on May 30th and don't have them yet. Per Mackin(the importer) hopefully they'll get here sometime in October.
Volks are super strong wheels and excellent quality, but with the two above factors, most people will pass on them. And with so much competition from other manufacturers, different looks, etc, the consumer has tons of other choices.
I think Volk wheels are becoming played out here where I live. Every 5th Civic has a set of TE-37s. What people forget is just how many different kinds of wheels Volk/Rays makes. I had thoughts of getting 19" GT-U's or GT-7's but IMO almost $3800 in wheels for a Maxima is dumb. I think its well worth the investment for smaller 17-18" wheels because they hold their value really well.
