Tire Question...

I have 2000 max, I got tires today for my stock rims for the winter. I had on 215 55R16. I got the same size and I went to mount them and they don't fit Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a tire size for my stock rims.

They should have fit, what else are you leaving out?

I don't think I'm leaving out anything, I took the old tire off and tried to put the new one on, but the bead kept on popping out. I had Fulda 215/55R16 now I'm putting on BFGoodrich Radi Traction 215/55R16.
BTW I broke the plastic part of the tire machine in the process...
