My new rims

I finally got my new rims and tires. I have 2k2 rims and Kumho Ecsta 225/50/17 tires. Car handles way better than with 15 inch rims and 215/40/15 tires. No more sounds when cornering hard. Tires are rough thoung compared t my other ones. I love the set up. I will post pics later.

One question though? Will my performes decrease due to my new rims because I heard that 2k2 rims are heavy? I can't feel a difference at all when accelerating. Car accelerates the same and does not feel heavy at all.

the rims are heavy, you may not 'feel' the difference that much, but only numbers will tell.
Also the larger wheel diameter (+2 inches) gives you a better gear ratio to the ground.

anybody know what size rims will perform the best on the max?

Straight line is smaller the better. So probably Stock 15's on amazing tires. for handeling, it's larger better, but not too large. 17-19 are probably great with Max's with low profiles.

I would say the best of both worlds are 16's or 17's. above that u are about corners, lower then that, u are about speed.

You should feel the difference... On and off the track... You went from ~16.5lb wheels to ~24+lb wheels and went up in overall diameter as well... Just a quick Q, why were you running 40 series sidewalls on your 15" wheels? Into racing?

There is that big of a difference. I got to weigh my tires somehow?

And yes I am into racing but I try to do it safely and not recklessly. And that tire size is normal 215/40/15.

Actually normal is 205/65/15. 40 series is what I run on 18s and they are tiny.

did you get ecsta 711 or 712?

my stock GXE rim/tire weight 39lbs each, my voxx MGR/ecsta supra weights 46lbs. so that means i went up +7lbs each side, so +24lbs all four corners.

not too bad, ecsta supra gives quality grip, and hugs well around the corner. very nice tire for $80/piece.
