Can I mount 215/50-15 tires on the 96 factory 15? sawblade wheel?
Well, my tires are bald and I need to change it.
However, I don't like the thik sidewall of the factory tires and I would like to have low profile tires, somewhat like 215/50-15.
The factory tires are 215/60-15 so I think I could mount 215/50-15 tires on a set of factory 96SE sawblade wheels without any problem, right?
Also, is it possible to mount 225/50-15 or something like that on factory 15" wheel? I just want something more sportier looking tires but can?t afford any new set of wheels.
Please let me know! Thanks!
P.S. I live in Atlanta and is it ok to mount summer tires through out the year? We only see snow maybe once a year and I don?t drive when it?s snowing. Please let me know this as well.

Thanks for your reply guys?
Somehow I couldn?t used the search function anymore.
Anyways, so I could use either 225/50-15 or 215/50-15 on factory 15? sawblade wheels with no problem?
Any safety concern when using this tires on stock wheel?
I just don?t want my wheels to come off while I?m driving.
Thanks again

They will fit, but if you look at the link I posted above, your speedometer will be faster than the actual speed. According to the site:
215/50/15
"Speedometer reading with non-stock tire is 6.7% too fast.
When your speedo reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 56mph"
225/50/15
"Speedometer reading with non-stock tire is 8.4% too fast.
When your speedo reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 54.9mph"
