255/45 R17 ON 17 x 8 38 mm OFFSET

I can't search so I have to ask. Will a 255/45 R17 tire on a 17 x 8 38 mm offset rim fit on the 5 th gen?

Thanks.

I might go with a 17 X 9 than with 38mm offset. I still want to know if either width of rim will fit or not with 38mm offset.

I asked one of the techies at Tire Rack that same question....255/45/17 on a 17 x 8" wheel and he said it would fit a 5th Gen. no problem.
