Whcih tires for 235/45/17?

I am undecided on what set of tires to get. I am stuck between the Yokohama ES100's or the Nitto Extremes 555's. I know a lot of people are running the Yokohamas, but the Nittos look like a good tire also. What do you guys think?

Both are good tires. I'd get whichever is cheaper.

yeah, that is how I was going about my decision anyway...the Nittos are a little bit cheaper.

If you are not planning on driving in snow, I would go w/ Nittos

Since both the ES100 and 555 are summer-only tires, I wouldn't drive in the snow with either.

What I do sometimes to find tire reviews (for tires NOT sold at Tirerack) is to go and search around a good forum that is fairly "hardcore" about their tires. Places like the Audiworld and Miata.net forums sometimes have good info there.

I figured they were both summer tires. From my own experience, I like Nittos; even though they are noisier, they grip better.
