Suggestions on new tires for a 2000 SE w/ 17'' rims

Can anyone recommend a tire for my 2000 SE? Right now I have Bridgestone Potenza V Rated tires. I wasn't very impressed with the way they handled wet conditions, plus they are over $200 per tire. I am looking into the Continental Conti Touring Contact CV95 tires. These are also V-Rated tires. I've found these for $141 a tire.

Can anyone recommend other tires that don't exceed $150 each for 225/50-17 tires?

I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Great tires, the car feels much more stable in any weather conditions.

I've been pretty pleased with my Nitto 450's. They get bashed a lot around the org but are a lot of tire for the cost. Discounttiredirect.com will give probably the best prices on the Falken's and Nitto's.

I put Sumitomo HTR+ size 215/50/17 on my 02 max. Much better than the RE92s that I took off and they are $74 at the Tire Rack.

I just put BF Goodrich G-Force KDWS 235x45x17 they're awsome I loved em on snow or rain......highly recommended. I paid under $450 shipped......from www.tires.com their price is slightly higher than www.tirerack.com but when u talk to one of the sales guy ask them to match the price with tirerack, I've dealt with tires.com b4 and they were pretty coo......and offer free shipping.

I have the Sumitomo HTR+ 235/45/17 and they are pretty nice. For an all-around Z rated tire they can't be beat for the price. They're good on dry and in wet and snow. I don't think they make them in the 225/50/17 though if you have your heart set on that size. I got them at tire rack for about $100/tire.
