245/50/16 Anyone know if these will fit 16 inch rim ?

Hey my rim size is 16 x 7.5 and im trying to find out if I will have any trouble with 245/50/16 size tires on my car ?

ANYONE OUT THERE EVER PUT THIS SIZE TIRE ON A MAXIMA with 16 inch rim?

I presently have 225/50/16 on the car now. the tires im asking about will be wider !

Isn't it obvious that 245 is wider than 225?

No, it's not recommended that you put 245 on a 7.5" wide rims. Go with 225 as you have right now.

To put 245 you need at least 16x8. Even better would be 16x8.5.

Yeah I tried to do that too

I tried to put 245/50/16 on some stock 16"x6.5 although on a third gen. But it did not work in the rear because my shock insert hit it. I am going with 225/50 now. I bought some Kumho 711 for $330. I hope they do good.

1) you want a taller profile tire for drag. wider is heavier and won't give you much better straightline traction

2) Many 245's will fit on a 7.5". 245/50 ES100 and 712's only need 7" for instance. Heck the HTRZ says only 6.5" min.

I can't speak as to if they'll fit w/o rubbing depending on the cars drop. But I'm still looking at 245/45/16 for autox.
