Staggered rims question

I'm considering 18x9.5 and 18x8.5 rims for my 95. The wheels I'm looking at only come with a 35mm offset. Anyone have that setup or know if it works?

Thanks

i'm looking at 18x8.5 fr and 18x9.5 back...and i just called and they told me to go with a 35mm offset is best.... with a 40mm offset i will need spacers...does that sound right???
