what should I buy next? Toyo Proxes T1-S? or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3???

size is gonna be 235/45/ZR17 like I currently have, what tire is stickier from your experiences? the GS-D3's are relatively new so I don't think there is much experience with them...any input would be great though! prices are almost identical....so that's not an issue, just what is a better gripping/handling tire....

The D3s get marvelous ratings on Tirerack though they are new so there isn't that much info collected on them yet. I am partial to T1-Ss because that's what I have and I love them. Traction ratings are identical at AA A. You can't really compare treadwear between different manufacturers because the ratings are proprietry and not issued by an outside standardized organization. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I might go with the Goodyear in your position solely because it will be coming from tirerack and tirerack is a great company to work with.

I'd say Goodyear because that's what I'm buying. The Toyo is slightly lighter in terms of weight and that's about all. The goodyear has slightly better traction and slightly better threadwear.

You know.... the GS-D3 has been around for quite a while. I remembered seeing them on sale even before Thanksgiving. I read on other forums and according to people who have them, I think the GS-D3 has better threadwear and traction. Of course, I can't be accurate because I haven't owned both of them personally. But I'm still getting the Goodyear after my research.

Yup, best prices I've come across myself.
Did you order some? My Toyo's are on back order. They said it would take a couple of weeks for them to come in, but for those prices it's worth the wait.

If it helps any I have the D3's and they for one are super sticky, on top of that they are real comfortable and quiet. The turn in on them is excellent as well. Not to mention they look real good too.

I'm so tempted but my pilot sport a/s on the stockers are fairly new and my nt555 on the 18's only have 9k on them I can't warrent spending the cash for them...yet anyway. I hope they are still on special when I need tires

Toyo T1-S is sticky with only marginal treadwear

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 has some noise issues the more they wear down.

I usually go to Tirerack and look for negative comments only. We already know that the tires perform extremely well, its negative comments about treadwear, cupping, traction, and noise that interest me.

My review on the nt555. I think its one of the best tires money can buy for the price range. Dry traction is outstanding until it gets below 50's and then it becomes an issue but Im sure thats with any summer tire. Wet traction is great 100x better than the re92 and doesn't hydroplane through puddles of decent size. They channel water quite well and aren't loud at all. Never driven them in the snow so i can't give that review but Im sure it wouldn't be fun. You will like them
