recently got 17" rims the shop i bought them from put 205/40/17 tires on them. this is a smaller size then it should be. I needed 205/45/17. is this a problem? i was thinking that my miles will go up faster because the wheels will be spinning faster.......is this the case? I was thinking of getting new tires will 215/45/17's work? thanks guys

 

Sorry but you got screwed. Discountiredirect did the same s*&t to me My speedo was off 8 miles and the wheel didn;t cover the rim.
I got 225/45/17 and everything is cool. Speedo is off by 0.5 so thats fine.
What is the width of you rim?
I say smallest would be 225/45/17
MOst Orgers say 235/45/17 is the size to go with.
