Rims question...
Rims question...
Hey, I have stock wheels on my max, those with caps on them
I want to get something else, at least stock alloy wheels, and
i want it as cheap as possible, also how much would a conversion of 4 lugs into 5 lugs cost?
would a junkyard be a good idea to look for the rims?
thanks!

If you are in rockville and need rims, I have a set in Northern VA that I am selling for $225. They are alloy aftermarket rims that are in great shape. They were $119 each new. If yo uwant more info, just let me know.
As far as a 5 to 4 lug conversion, it woudl be costly and impractical. Most people want to convert from 4 to 5 lugs- you have 5 already, so why work backwards?
Junkyards can be a good or bad place to buy rims- it all depends on how the yard prices them. I have seen $100+ per rim, and I have seen $50 per rim. It depends on a lot of factors.

hey! do you have any pictures of your rims? what size? do they come with tires? e-mail me please at TSOY_property@yahoo.com
thanks everyone
phenryiv1's rims are sweet. I almost bought them, but was short on cash as the moment.
He is a good guy to deal with and will be of any help that you need.
You can buy from him with confidence knowing that you are getting a great deal, because that is really cheap for those wheels. They are really light. I was going to buy them when they were like $350.

I sent you a few pics to that address. The rims do NOT come with tires, but for $225 you will have plenty of dough left over for tires. I have them on the car at the moment, but they will be off of the car LITERALLY this evening, as my other rims/tires are currently residing in my trunk and back seat.
I live in Herndon, VA and work in Alexandria, so I can meet you somewhere. That way there are no shipping charges.
Just to show you how much I have dropped the price lately, here is a link to the original sale thread:
