Weird tire noise???

This will probably get moved to not-very-popular tire forum , but I have this strange noise coming from my BOTH front tires <?>
It sounds like something is flopping against the paivement....almost like a piece of paper is stuck to the tire and it is hitting the road or the wheelwel as the wheel spins. Both front tires are doing the same thing. You cannot really hear it with windows closed, but when they are open, you can really hear it and the frequency of this flopping increases as the speed of the car increases.....
Tires are almost brand new (about 3k miles on them), balanced perfictly on the road-force machine (dealer went thru 9 tires to find best ones). Rotated once. All wheels torqued to 80ft/lb. Tire pressure at 35. Size is 225-55-17 Conti premier touring. I dont experience any vibration in the steering wheel... Any ideas?

Uhhh, sounds like a screw/nail stuck into your tires. Look out for them.

I just went thru both fron tires and picked out couple dozen small pieces of rock/glass and other crap out of the tires. Nothing really big ... did not see a nail. Hopefully it was one of those rocks ...

This may sound weird but it could be your tire pressure is lacking.
