Rim Questions

DISCLAIMER: Before I start with this post, please refrain from responding about how my choice of Mille Miglia Evo5's is not original or creative. The fact is that I have been researching wheels for a while and I honestly think they just look the best but I do appreciate any other constructive rim choices (of course around the same price per set).

Ok, here is the deal. One or two of the factory 17" rims I have on my 01 Sterling Mist SE are apparently bent and I don't feel like spending the huge amount of money to replace them so I am thinking of going aftermarket. As I said above, I think right now I want to go with Mille Miglia Evo5's but I have some questions before I make my final decision.

I am not sure if I want to go with the 17x8" or upgrade to the 18x8" wheels. There are two factors that influence the choice. First, people on here are always complaining about the weight factor with these rims and I don't want it to affect performance to a high degree. Secondly, I do not plan on lowering my car in any way since I want to keep it as stock as possible. I am as digusted as everyone else with the already bad problem of wheel gap and at the very least do not want to worsen it and would even like to decrease the gap if possible.

Given this, please share your opinions and/or pictures (not sure I have seen any w/out springs) to help me make a decision. Thanks for the help. You guys have always been damn helpful.
