Potenza Life

Right now I have 31k miles on my Potenzas and at the last rotation (30k) they said I still have over 1/2 my tire life...meaning these could easily go 60k. I know others have had crappy problems or pushed the tires beyond their limits, but for someone who lives in a warm climate and doesn't drive 2Fast or 2Furious , these have been some good tires (other than elevated road noise on certain roads). I'll be replacing them eventually (if they don't out last the car) with Pilot Sport A/S for the quieter ride.

Who has the most miles on their Potenzas?

My Pontenzas have 41k on them and have about 1/3 of the tread left, and they haven't been as bad as everyone else says they are. I guess it really depends on what kind of driver you are. They are a little scary in the rain at times, and thank god for traction control...otherwise I probably would have gotten rid of them right after the winter (and I live in Iowa so they made it through more than enough snow). I would never buy another set...definitely not worth the money. When I change them, it will either be Falken 512, Cooper Lifeliner SLE, or Turanza LSV. Havent decided how much $ to stick into them.

They're not a little scary in the rain, they're death traps. After sliding across two lanes from the top of an on ramp(at 45mph), I was not putting mine or the family's lives in jeopardy another day. This was at 27k miles and 70% of tread left. This from a 47 year old conservative driver.

The Potenzas are dangerous and if you haven't figured it out then God be with you when you do. I got 28k out of mine with very hard driving but switched to 18's and Nitto555's.

Got 51K out of mine and still weren't right at the tread wear indicators. A bit scary in the rain, but never had any big frights. And I really push it in the rain. Snow really sucked. But they were one of the most even wearing tire I ever witnessed. When they were removed from the car a few weeks ago, the guys in the garage could not get over how perfectly they wore.

Replaced them with Falken Ziex
