newbie --> tire question, about tire size

I'm currently running 215/55/16 on my 4th gen max, the tires are stock size but they look ugly. Can I swap them with smaller hight size to make the tires look better? what problems will i run into?

You can run 225/50/16's without any trouble I think. Lots of members have done this. It'll throw off your speedo a tad, but nothing too major.
