Best rubber for my 18" rims?

I have perilli nero's on my 18's, was wondering if anyone knows of better choices in a high performance tire?

any idea of cost on those bad boys for 245/40R18 ? i got my pirelli's for $142 ea. tirerack seems to rank the perilli nero's # 1, but could be a marketing issue. Are the proxes a performance summer tire or a performance all season?

Yeah I think it is a marketing issure because I don't think they sell Toyo tires. The T 1-S's are a nice tire the look is really good but as far as I know they are fairly expensive a guy I work with paid $218 per tire mounted and balanced on his rims i'm not sure what others paid but thats alot more then the $142 that you paid.

i like durex....

the bad thing about toyo is that yes they are excellent ytires some other best, but they are rediculiouy exspencive. there are much better tires for the money.

if you want a cheap yet effective way out of this....mastercraft makes a new performance tire ( yes i know mastercraft) it is a v thread and is suppose to be an awsome tire, especially for the money. but take the path you want.

Dunlop SP9000, Toyo T1S and Falken FK541 are my top 3 picks.

what Caesar said. You did ask for the best, not the best-value.

bridgestone potenza SO-3's are good too, also cheaper than the toyos. Yokohoma AVS are great too.

I just got the toyo proxes 4 also, haven't been able to take them to their limits yet but they come very highly rated. In size 225/40/18 they cost $114 each at edgeracing.com
