Source for Toyo and Falken tires? There's a catch...

Everywhere I've called so far is out of the Falken ZE-512 in 215/55-16. Including Discount Tire direct. Anyone know where I can find some?

Same question for the Toyo Proxes 4 in 215/55-16, I called edgeracing.com and they won't even special order it.

Help would be much appreciated.

I'm looking for new, but thanks for the offer. I may have found some at treadepot.com but the f*ckers didn't answer their phone today. Nealoc187 - thanks for the link, it looks like they have the Toyos but they're a little more money so I'll try this other place first.

It's Consumer Reports' fault, people who don't know what a tire is read Consumer Reports and automatically buy whichever they rate as the best, in this case the 512.

yea the consumer report helped out buisness ALOT!. the 512's are a good choice our rule of thumb right now is to tell our buyers to wait 60 days for a shipment. To me honestly thats a long wait for tires...ever thought ot the azenis st115's those are really good tires almost no road noise 360 tread wear...thats the next best tire.

good luck with your tire choice.

regards,

Jon

Try your local Sears store. Mine stocks the 512 in that size. But they were out and they shipped in a set from another store. They also match online prices.

Sears was the one who screwed me in the first place, but I ended up buying Toyo Proxes 4's from www.treadepot.com and I'm very happy with them. They were at my door Tuesday from a Sunday order and so far they seem like great tires.

I replaced my wife's Toyo Proxes AO factory shoes with the 512's. The stock Toyos were trash after 25,000 miles. One had large bubbles in the side wall and they were all checked badly. Maybe the 4's will be better treads.

I got my Toyo Proxes 4 from National Tire and Battery (NTB)

They had to special order them, but only charged me $125 per tire.
