I say get em, but I know many other say not to. They are way better than all the other rims that I see driving around, but if you're into brand names of rims. Then get something else.

I got a set of exel wheels on my car now. I have had them for 2 years and no problems here. They also gave me a 3 year warranty, so if I reck any or all the rims they give me new ones for free, not bad.

I've heard of Exel rims cracking when they were driven over bumps and potholes.

Well I just look at it this way.... if they crack I'll beable to buy several pair before I break even to the real thing. The SSRs (real rims) from what I hear aren't that strong since they're semi-forged.

As for the guy that said they are poser wheels..... When you buy differents wheels that aren't stock, please let us know. I couldn't be happier with these wheels and get compliments on them daily.

after looking at some pics of hamy's wheels upclose they look more like the excel's instead of the ssr's. Does anyone know for sure what wheels he had. Excel did a good job copying them because they are kinda hard to tell apart in pictures.

Hamy had SSRs. The only difference that I can tell through pictures of the two are that the SSRs have small holes drilled in the rim between each lug and have one more bolt between each spoke.

Yeah I didn't mean to sound like I was saying SSRs are weak because they are NOT. I would buy SSRs if I had a whole lot more money. People can knock on the Exel and I did at one time, but they are worth every penny and they don't cost a whole lot either. Of course SSRs will last longer than the Exel, but before that time comes, I'm pretty sure I would have already curbed one, wrecked and bent one, or just plain tired of the look and wanted something different.

I totallly understand. It's just a "story" that I heard about Exel rims. If people; like yourself did not have any problems with them after many years of usage, I would recommend them to others w/ less budget.

Actually, Hamy had a set of satin 19" SSR's, and also a set of 19" gunmetal Exel's. Depending on the pic you saw, it could've been one or the other...
