Kumho Ecsta Asx
Kumho Ecsta Asx
So my damn Cooper Cobras were bald and one had a nail in the sidewall (not patchable). I went down to the discount/america's tire and picked up some Kumho Ecsta ASXs for $486 out the door. I looked at tirerack.com when I went home and they want $73 per tire plus $40 to ship.
My question is did I get ripped off?
Price included certs, mounting/balancing, lifetime rotation, and balancing.
I also applied for their credit card since they had the first 3 months no interest financing. The tires are stickier than the cobras and have a 420 treadwear.

Figure $80 for installation most places and you're really only down about $74. You did get lifetime rotation and balancing, which you normally wouldn't get by going the tirerack route, so it just depends on whether you think the $74 difference was worth the extra services you bought.
