Question about tire size?????please post replies

I am looking into some new rims and i was just wondering what size tires do you all run on 17s. It is a 17 by 7.5 rim. I was looking into 235-45-17s -if you have this setup how do you like it and how big of a diff is from that to stock. Also what is the widest you can go on a rim on a 4th gen thanks in advance

This should be in the wheels/tire forum but anyway I have 235/45/17 and I think you can as wide as 255 but not sure if anybody runs those. I would think 245 should be ok also. 235/45/17 is a perfect size, the car rides much firmer and handles a lot better, you just compromise some of the comfort for the handling and response.

I'm running falken 512's on 17 inch rims 225/45/17. Vast improvement over stock of course. Like the guy said before me...try the 235's. I wasn't the one that made the choice on the tire size. Used to be my bro's car. No idea why he went for the 225's instead of the 235's. Oh yea...get some lowering springs if you're gonna get low pro tires...or your car will look funny.
