18"s or 19"s?

Hello everyone,
I'm new in the community so sorry if this is a repost. I am in the market for some new rims for my black 2000 maxima se. I was wondering what size rim would be best for my car. I have always heard that 18s are a good size, keeping the ride good. But I the car came with 17"s, so should I just move up to 19s? (Note: I plan on lowering my ride in the near future.) Thanks.

Just a demo of what kind of rim I am going for.... Black on black oh so sick.

sweet.... It all depends.... If you tend to drive fast i would go with 18's, but if its all just for style then go with the 19's. Im actually lookin into getting black rims also that i sell, (Axis Mod black with chrome lip) in 20" but if i dont im going with Axis spiders, my most realist choice.

good luck with the car

18" or 19"

I would have to agree with NYAutostyle. I would personally lean a little more towards the 19's if you can scrape up the cash. Price difference is not going to be dramatic, but the look will not disappoint you. If you do choose to go with the 18's, I think you may regret it. The wheel wells in our cars, as well as the natural height of the car needs BIG wheels. It's not like a Honda civic that looks great with 18's. Oh yeah, and black wheels with a polished lip on a black Maxima......once you go black, you never go back.....Uh, can I say that here?!?!?!

For sure, You know how it is.... 19s are ok price wise, I just worry about functionality. I do not need to go too fast, but I do enjoy acceleration. If anyone that has 19s would like to say anything, that would be great.

I really don't think that you would notice a difference between 18" and 19". Going from 17" to 19" was a bit noticeable, but I can live with it. 19x8" Axis Mods with Nitto 555's in 245/35/19.

i wanted quality rims and the jump from 18" to 19" is really expensive, so i went with 18s.

i say get 19s if you can afford it, and 18s if you cant. Either way, its better than stock
