I kno this was probly brough up before but in jus looking for a quick answer...im buyin rims with tires from another .org-er and he said 3 tires are 6/32 and one is about 5/32 is that Good? im jus looking for winter wheels so are they good enough for about 4 months? when should i change them ?

Well I think that the tires when they are brand new are either 7/32 or 8/32 so yes those are in good shape.

 

Only 7/32 or 8/32 new? What kind of tire is that? Most tires I've seen are 10/32 when new and some that aren't as grippy (touring -type) are 11/32nds deep.

If you are paying shipping on the wheels, I'd have him get the tires removed. No sense in paying all that money in shipping and then tossing out the tires.

If you're not paying shipping you might as well see how the tires work - might get you through the winter at least.
