I just bought these tires 3 weeks ago 245/40/18 though, I spent about 2 mths researching, I'm in Canada so I can't help you on price, but I can say excellent choice they are amazing tires I love them, sticky, quiet, nice ride and incredible wet traction, we really need to get the word out to those who live in wet climates! Did you try:

Let me know what you think once you have them on, I went with the 245 only because I have an 8.5" wide rim, no rubbing issues at all, I'm on eibachs so my drop in minimal these helped to fill the fender gap a little.

Have you had any opportunity to drive them on any snow? Just wondering how they handle in snow. I have the Falken 512's and they've been fine so far, but haven't had a lot of snow yet. But keeping these in mind for next time around (or if I buy a 6th gen, as a replacement on that). Thanks.

I don't know about a price, but you might try Les Schwab ( I notice that you are in Washinton State). I looked at 235/45x17 Toyo Proxes for btwn $175 an $185. Not sure if they were 4's. Worth a look and great customer service.

hey guys I google it and I found some site have the proxes 4 in 235/45/17 for $107 I belive and for the one that I was looking for it was $131 235/40/18 this is the best prices so far. I tried calling les shwcb but they wanted $230 per tires + tax, so I think I'll be buying it over the internet.

hey guys quick question since my rims is 18x7.5 do I have to go with 225/40/18 because I look at the spec for the 235/40/18 it says the min is 8 for the width, so if I want go with the 235/40/18 will it still fit the 7.5 width?

I have a few hundred miles on my 225/45 R17's. I love them! They are MUCH better than OEMs (well, almost anything is). I can't get a squeal out of them, unlike the OEMs. My only complaint is that they pick up gravel like crazy (or any little road dirt) here in northeast Missouri. Other than that they are great. Had only one snowfall so far - I could still get them to slide a bit, but I felt MUCH safer driving around town. I was lucky to survive last winter...

I got mine at www.performanceplustire.com - they have similar pricing to edgeracing.com - both far cheaper than I found anywhere else.

You probably could put the 235s on the 7.5 rims, but since it is not spec for the tire, they will not be warrentied, and there is a safty risk for tire failure.
