Wheels / tires question

So I just got some 18"s for my Max. I know what tires are recommended, but I can get a real good deal if I go one size up (and I think may be more comfortable on the road) Most people are running 235/40's or 225/45's, I just wanna run 235/45. So just wondering if this is a bad idea or I will have rubbing problems. Im also gona probably end up running the Tein-s springs.

thanks

That may not work. You should compare the overall tire dimensions, especially diameter, of your car's stock tire and that of the tire you 'desire.'

I often use a tire size calculator on www.1010tires.com

They warn not to go more than 3% different in size from your stock... I am sure in many cases that is a reasonable range.

Also, tire companies usually give the tire specs on their homepages.
