Will this offset work?

Hey everyone,

Will 45mm offset work for a 4th gen? I could get a great deal on a set of rims I want, but they are 45 offset. I heard the only way to deal with this is to get "spacers", but I also heard it isn't a good idea to use them..

Thanks.
Dan

You can use 5mm spacers w/ OEM studs but if you get wider spacers, definitely get longer studs.

45 offset is fine, but the rims just won't be as flush as the could be. Now if they are 8" wide then 45mm offset would not look too bad, but if they are 7" or 7.5" you might be kind disapointed. For a 7" or 7.5" rims look for a 35mm offset, or even a 40m.

Thanks. Will they just look a little too squished into the car? I'll probably just go to a tire store and see what they think/recommend when I get my wheels.
