What offset to get for 8 inch wide rim?

I will be ordering my rims this week, its 18x8 and it comes in 35mm and 40mm offset. Which one do i get? I was going for 40, will that make it look stock or sit flush? How will the 35mm look?

Thanks

40 is the stock offset. A 35 would make it stick out alittle more and would give it a more agressive look.

I have a set of 17x9s with a +34 .... they don't stick out but the wheel is even with the front fender.... perfect for the rear.... I would go with a +35 on the 8s should fill out the wheel well but stay under the fender
