to the wheel gurus

I found a set "like new" condition, 6 spoke, 17" rims off of a G35 (sedan).

I am fairly confident, but I want to ensure that these will bolt on without the need for any type of spacers; and I need to know what size tires I will have to buy. The rims are 17x7 with a 40mm offset and a 5 lug, 4.5" pattern.

TIA

7 inch will be 215/40/17 thats what i would run, and no you wouldnt need a spacer because i believe the rim is 114.3x5 and 40mm is fine, i run 40mm also with no problem

No that is the wrong size to run. A 215/40 is way to small of a tire for a 17x7 rim. According to tirerack.com, the correct size is 235/45. That is what I have on my 17x7s with 42mm offset and they are perfect as they did not throw my speedometer or odometer off.

how about a set of 18's off a g35 coupe? i'd like to run them with 225/45/18 tires on there. will these have any problems with rubbing on an 03 i35? thanks!
