need a little help on rims if possible

hey guys..i'm actually planning on getting new rims and i was wondering if there is a way to get nice 18's without lowering your car..i cant really afford that right now..i have my stock non alloy hubcap wheels on right now and they are 205/65R15 and i want to get 225/40/18..do you think this will look okay without a drop since the profile is so much lower? or will it still make it too high? any comments/suggestions would be awesome
thanks

The car will not be lifted, but the wheel gap will be more pronounced since you are going to have low profile tires. You don't have to lower your car but it will look a lot better if you did so.

Many here will tell you to do your suspension first, then save up again and do the wheels since the suspension actually has performance bebefits ie. better handling and ride comfort.

Since you have 15" wheels, you could get some 17" wheels which is the stock size on the 5.5 gen which would look fine without lowering your car. Also, a 2" increase in wheel size will be quite noticeable. Just a suggestion.

Edit: Are you sure yours are 15" ?

no. he's saying they will look a lot better than ur baby 15s. a lot of maximas come with stock 17s so it does not look out of the ordinary.

yea i understand..but i want 18's because i want darker rims with a light lip and those usually look smaller than they really are..so i thought about 18's but if they will look out of place without a drop then ill consider 17's

Yeah - mistermax was right in what I meant. You could get some nice 17" wheels with a nice lip that would stand out like what you're talking about which would save you some cash over 18" if your budget is currently limited.
