First snow of the season and testing out blowtenzas...

We got a surprise this morning when I woke up to several inches of unforecasted snow. Now I will get to test the blowtenzas out on the slick roads for the first time. Should be fun!

I was going to post the EXACT same thing. Yeah, these tires aren't the greatest in wet/snowy conditions, but they're not the worst I've driven either. Maybe I just got overanxious because of all the horror stories I've heard on here, so I expected these tires to be TERRIBLE. All in all, my Potenzas with 40k miles on them were average in the snow. I happened to blow one on a pothole so I got 4 new Falken Zeins, which I love, so I'm out of the Potenza group, but they weren't as bad as I had expected.

No **** S00NR1. They said maybe light snow if it doesn't rain. What jokes, how do you not forecast 3+ inches? I don't want to take my baby out cause I know she'll get mad dirty. But the P-Zero's have done quite well before.

Yeah I am on blowtenzas... I'm from Pennsylvania and we had about only 6-10 inches of snow and I did alright. I drove on roads that weren't plowed too... not to bad!

BUT ALWAYS be careful with them on... they are not the best winter tires!

i would NEVER drive in the snow w/ those POS's, cuz its hard enough to keep the tires from slipping when driving when the roads are simply wet, let alone icy...

I had a set of Falkens on steelies that I wish I would have kept. I am running 245/45/17 Khumo tires and they are by far the worst I have ever driven and yes I have had three 5.0 mustangs. I got stuck going backwards in my driveway with a couple of inches of snow. I also have a new 4Runner so 99.9% of the time my Max stays parked. Today I had no choice since my wife needed the 4Runner and I don't think my motorcycle would have cut it.

DO NOT under any circumstances drive in the snow on the Deathtenzas! I drove in the snow w/ them when i first bought my car a couple yrs ago. It was the first & last time. Since you guys don't get that much snow in OK, don't drive those days.

it snowed about 18" last week, for some reason my car just plows thru snow on the straight aways fine, i uaually go 45mph. but on the turns, i just slow down way before the turn so that your not sliding every where. and thats how i drive in the snow. they barely plowed the streets, so we had about couple of inces on the street. but hey, my first experience in the snow with these deathtenzas wernt too bad. and yes, the snow makes my car filthy!! and i didnt wash it for like couple weeks, cuz they put alot of salt on the road and the car just gets worse...

Craptenzas scared the hell out of me when I drove on snow for the first time and one time was enough for me. Got different tires.
