I was thinking of getting a set of 18's from hp but someone told me that if you are going fast that the tires on 18's are like rubberbands and will snap is this true? Also should i go with 18's or something smaller?Bigger?
it depends on the quality of the rims and the condition of the roads you drive on. If your doing like 80 mph and nail a pothole the size of new york, chances are pretty good that you are going to damage something. More sidewall = more cushion for the rim. I've never heard anything bad about the hp rims breaking or anything like that.

16-inchers are like pogo sticks, if you go too fast, they will bounce...
17-inchers are like hockey pucks....if you go too fast you will slip and slide
18-inchers are like rubber-bands, at high speeds they stretch and then snap
19-inchers are like bricks.....they are hard with square corners
20-inchers are like Fred Flintstone's wheels -rock hard and bling-blingy
one time my tire snapped and shot the driver next to me in the eye! i screemed facial and took off sparking my rim on bare concrete...it happens all the time, but you know, us ballers can deal with it....
