I personally prefer the Falkens. I have had them on my Civic for a while with no problems and just ordered a set for the MAX. A lot of people don't like them for various reasons, but IMO, they are solid, inexpensive tires that ride nice, handle OK, and wear pretty well. Fact is, they are very popular because I think Consumer Reports rated them #1 or something like that, and they are on backorder all over the place. I know nothing about Nitto.

Don't know about the Nittos, but I didn't like the 512s (225/50R17) soft sidewalls that made my car feel floaty like a luxo boat on 80 series tires. Turn in and cornering stability were horrid as the the car felt like the tires were underinflated, even at 44-47 psi (wiggles even in straight line).

Not 460s but I've owned 450s and 555s. Good summer tires. Still sidewall, pretty good tread life but little noisy.

Falken 512s have softer sidewall, treadlife isn't all that great, but quiter than Nittos. People have balancing issues w/ them though.

Except in the snow/ice

I have the Falkens on my OEM wheels for winter, and as previously mentioned, the sidewalls are a bit soft which makes the ride feels spongy at times. I also have the Nitto 555's on my 19" wheels and they are good tires for warm weather use. It does depend on what type of use you are looking for here other than a basic comparison. I'm sure both tires are decent in their own right.
