when i had the wheels repaired, they took off the tires and i dont remember the width. so if i were to measure, is the from the outer edge of the lip or inside of the lip?

Usually, the wheel width is stamped on the inside of the wheel.

 

nope its not stamped on these. i measured it and it comes out to 8.75". i called discount tire and some fuktard said 225 would be fine and i wouldnt have to worry about the tire being smaller than the rim. so should i get 235 or 245? what do you guys think?

 

probably 8.5. Run 245s or 255s

 

The size and offset is stamped on nearly every single wheel. I've never seen one without that. Look in the back of the hub area, around the bolt pattern.

If they are 8.5's, go with 235 or 245. If they are 8, go with 235.
