Will a 17x8 rim fit on OEM-size tires?

Just wondering if I could still use my Falkens if I get a 17x8 rim.

It might look a little odd, but yes. Odd meaning the wheel lip might stick out and the tire will look stretched out at the wheel/tire interface.

Hmmm...cuz' I'm still considering getting the 350Z rims. Despite what everyone's said about them, I and abour 3 others from NYCMax think they look pretty damn good. Anyways, that was the purpose of my question.
