Chaning rims

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43955

If I get those in replace of the sotck do I have to purchase anything else?

Like I am not sure how the rims works, do I just take the stock off and replace with these or will I need to re-buy something else?

What does everyone think of these - chrome finish

It matter's on what stock rims u got and inches,IMO, whateva stock rims you got.. you should keep instead of those. Especially if you have the 5 star rims, those look sexi on a dropped max :-P

first off those are 4-lug, we have 5

look for a lug pattern of 114.3"

the stock rim is a 16x6.5 for the SE 5 spokes

Rico Suave I got the same rims as you and I love them but my little brother scratched up the 2 on the drivers side with a SOS Pad and I would love to get the stock ones back, but the cheapest I can find for 2 stock rims is 260 shipped!!!

I tryed rubbing compound on the rims but it didnt work

I'm not a fan of chrome but if I did have to only on Mercs, and Big suvs they actually make chorome rims look good in my opinion. I think especially that pattern would look very ugly but I could be wrong.

Like A Flood 99 we have 5 lug not 4 so those wouldnt fit without having to buy extra parts to get it to fit. If you find rims that are 5 lug bolt patter 5x114.3 those would fit our cars like you speak of, take off old wheels and put on new wheels make sure the offset is proper (between 35-40).

check any junkyards around

ebay, and look for some deals or post up a thread in the F/S section

Scratch X will work wonders on paint, but probably not steel wheels

Will scratch X work better than rubbing compound on paint and on wheels?
What will work on steel wheels or am I stuck with these scratches?

Rico Suave or anyone else - what do you feel is a goood price for 2 stock
rims

on paint, scratch is top notch...takes off oxidation and swirls better than paint cleaners

for your wheels, those scratchs probably won't be coming out if your bro went at them with an SOS pad

So my only option is to buy new stock rims?
Or can some polish and cleaner take it off?

These scratches are KILLING ME!!!
