I've decided the Kumho Ecsta ASX is what I will get however I need some help as to the sizing issues:

What does "Section Width" mean?

My MR7s are 17x7 and the tires I would like are the 225/45/17's but it says that the section width is 8.9 on 7.5 (???)

I don't mind getting the 225/50/17 what I have right now however I wouldn't mind the lower profile.....
