To those with 20" wheels.....

I am looking at purchasing a set of 20" wheels, and just wondering what all fitment those have found... Can we fit a 8.5" wheel? What is the offset ranges that will work with the max? Right now I am looking at getting a 20 x 8.5" wheel with a 40mm offset, but I am doubting a 8.5" will fit and even curious to see about the 40mm offset.....any help?

Your putting on 20's.. yet your worried about an 8.5" width? With the right offest, theres people that have run upto 10" wide rims in the rear.

I don't know why people would put 10" wheels on the rear.....I guess maybe they thought it was rear wheel drive and wanted a staggered look Anyways I have 19" Axis Spiders in hyper black right now, but want a little bigger... I am looking at the Enkei LM1's but they only come in 18 and 20"....so I guess if I want them I sure as heck am not gonna go down to 18's but I just don't know if these 20's will fit or not......

I can see 20's on SUV's and such, but a Maxima..... so many downsides to 20's on a max why spend the money for them when they will be destroyed by the road because there is no rubber inbetween it and the road lol. If it were purely a show car well then I would say why not.

Nice setup nismo-maxima555....what offset r u running n the back? I have been trying to figure out what kinda staggered setup we could fit on our cars, but always get the same old "we have a front wd car..why do u want wider tires on the back?"...cause i think it looks badass. What suspension setup r u running, looks low enough to b coilovers.

sell the 20's get some 18s and have money left over. 20's are only making your car hella slow.

Low max's look like s*%#, maximas are big cars, they are not made to be on the floor, i'll rather raise it

Ok....I guess maybe nobody understood my initial question... I did not ask 'hey do you guys think 20's would look good on my car', I said FOR THOSE WITH 20" WHEELS, WHAT IS THE FITMENT. For those 18-20 yr olds that just post on and on and on and on about getting 18's or this and that.... That is not what I want. As far as slow....Well newsflash for 90% of the people on this forum, most of you didn't buy a maxima because it is FAST, so stop pretending. Just because you beat up on a civic the other day doesn't mean IT'S FAST. Maxima's have potential I understand that with nitrous or boost, but like I said 90% of you think the stock power plus 10hp here and there makes it a real FAST car. NO Back to the point, FOR THOSE WITH 20" WHEEL, WHAT IS YOUR FITMENT PLEASE. ANY DO'S OR DON'TS? All other thread ******, please look to post elsewhere PLEASE I am looking for info.

Happy Easter

i test fitted 20x8.5 falken wheels on my bucket with 35MM offsett there was no rubbing issues and should be find with a mediocre drop. I know the common sensus is no 20's in this forum but to each their own..good luck with your search..

why not just ask, who has ?x8.5 rims and what is your offset because it is essentially the same thing. I mean I can have a 15x8.5 with a 65 series sidewall which is within cm's of a 20x8.5 with 35 series tire. Your spider's (great wheel by the way) are a 19x8 with a +40 offset. Many people have 19x8.5" with +40/+35 range without any problem. Just make sure you go with the right tire size 245/35-20. If you go 245/40-20 you will probably run into problems. Good luck.

THANK YOU FOR A SIMPLE ANSWER! I really appreciate it. I work for an import shop and all the vendors I call and ask say 'nope can't fit a 20 on there' and we got a fax for a set that was clearanced....so I was wondering if I could get away with a set of 20" wheels for cheap. I have recently decided to wait and look at the new wheels for 2005/2006 and see if I can't get something a little different. Thank you for the clean answer, I will now know in the future!
