Going to need some info and advice

My 18" Murano rims are on their way. I am looking to find all the specs for these wheels without much luck. I did a Google and still had no luck. Does anyone know all the numbers on these Murano rims? Weight, exact size, offset, etc. I know from others here they will bolt right onto my 98 SE, but am just curious about the rest. Also, I've been going through tons of sites to look for the best rubber prices...any personal experience will be much appreciated. Not sure what rubber to go with. I'll most likely be going with 235/40 or 45's.

Seriously?! I thought I read somewhere that they were only a little heavier than my stock 98 SE rims.

well im pretty sure 3rd and 4th gen wheels are bout the same weight, but id assume those murano wheels weigh a crap load. the murano itself is almost 4000 lbs.

Found out the Muranos weigh 35lbs. You were absolutely right, my man. They are heavy. At least they should be strong. This is about a 15lb/wheel wirght increase, wow. I'll have to beef up my Max in several ways no doubt.

You're going to have to beef it up to compensate for the extra weight. Based on a thread I found by googling tire weight on the .org yesterday, the factor is 8 pounds per 1 pound added (front & back wheels). So you just added the equivalent of 480 pounds in weight to your car's (4 women passengers or 2 football players) performance which will adversely affect your fuel economy as well!

Man, you're not kidding. With gas prices where they are, I may have to sell even before I install...sheesh.

dont worry doc....it will be well worth it....if ur more into "looks" than performance u will not regret it.....eventho the wheels are kinda heavy i still enojy every bit of it....u have no idea how many head-turns u will get after u get those babies put on!!

go with 235/40/18....perfect size for the wheels....

the reason why i went with the murano wheels is cuz i got the OEM ones for cheap and also im almost positive they are the strongest wheels compared to any aftermarket set of 18's.....

good luck man.....keep us updated when u get them on

You can always take "head-turns" to the bank if that's any comfort, LMFAO!

I just dropped mine off at the tire shop to have them mounted and balanced. I will take pictures after but they are pretty heavy. I was going to weigh them but I couldn't even find a scale. I think 30-35 is definitly right. I am putting them on 245/45/18. If they don't rub I am keeping the tires but if they do then I have to sell but I will update you in a couple of hours because I know from my thread you were at least a little bit interested.
