tires for 18x8.5

I have 18x8.5 rims with a 40 offset, i was wondering if I put 245/40-18's or 245/45/18's would it rub on a 95 dropped with progress springs? Also are the new bfgoodridge kdw 2's worth the investment? would they look funny on chrome rims considering they look like race tires? sorry for all the ?'s but i thank you in advance for all your replies and comments!

Run the 245/40 18's thats pretty much the standard in the maxima community. 45 series may be a little too tall.

don't you want to keep the same diameter as stock? 6th gen runs 245/45-18 on 18x7.5 wheels. to keep stock wheel/tire diameter, guys on 20s are running 245/35

just in case you care about your mileage, speedo, and what not.

He has a 95 though the overall diameter for that car is around 25.0 and the 245-45-18's is 25.6 (using the overall diameters of tires that falken sales). So its withing specs.

Overall diameter for 4th gens with steelies is 25.5".
245/40/18 is what you should use.
The KDW2's are good tires, and will look pretty good on any wheel.

Thank's for all your help. I'm going with the 245/40/18 and most likely I will be getting the kdw2's.
