New rims

I'm upgrading my GLE 2k Max. From stock 16x7.5 rims to 18x7.5 rims. trying to decide the tire to put on wanted some opinions because a friend mentioned if I go above 225 it might throw off my alignment. The store I may get them at recommend 235 to help with some extra tire to protect the rims and not to throw off the speedometer as much.

soooo

225/40/18
235/40/18

is what i've been considering. would like little to no hassle with swapping out the tires/rims etc. Price difference isnt an issue.

Also I'm running stock just about everything else. Not lowered, dont want to mess up my comfie ride. So could I possibly go to 225/45? or does that put everything out of wack?
