if you're actually paying for them get yourself some aftermarket rims, they look better than both and will probably be cheaper. if its a 5 finger discount, get both this way you can change them with your mood.

Ive seen some of the max's here with g35 rims and I actually like the way they look. I might be getting some from a friend of mine...but yeah, id pick the G35 rims instead...

i take it youre going with 18s and not the 17 g35s?

i like the look of the G35 but i think the 350z stocks look like they belong on the max, The car looks like thats how it should have come from the factory.
From my research, the G wheels weigh 26lbs each. The Michelins weigh 24 and 26lbs front/back respectively. So you get 50 and 52lbs total.

Well, I just got the tracking information on 18 inch 350z wheels being shipped to me via UPS and each package has the weight of 25 pounds. I would think their scales would be fairly accurate. Also, that's counting the packing materials and the box as well. So maybe these wheels actually weigh slightly less than 25 pounds, eh? Originally Posted by Jeff92se

Track edition 350z wheels are forged and made by Rays. Normal touring etc...350z wheels are just cast and heavy. 25-26lbs sounds just about right. The G35 18" Coupe wheels are 26lbs each also.

Hey Jeff, the wheels I'm getting are the six spoke 18" 350z wheels that are on the g35 in my sig. I've seen a new six spoke 18" design on the 350z. Are the wheels like the ones in my sig forged too?Originally Posted by Jeff92se

EDIT: I looked at my post after posting and the sig was not there. At any rate, it is above. The lavenderish-grayish g35 above.
If you don't have these 350z wheels, then you don't have the Track Edition Rays engineering forged wheels. No other wheel for the Z are forged that I know of. Maybe some of the new ones. The G coupe for this year has OPTIONAL 19" wheels that are supposed to be forged. Don't know the weight on those. I can't imagine running 19s on my 3-gen anyway.

In case you didn't know, the code the previous guy gave you is only good if you have your pic on the net somewhere. Yahoo or cardomain or something will give you somewhere to put the pics on the net and then you can put that link in the code the previous guy gave you. I think I'm right. Correct me if I'm wrong, people.Originally Posted by ravrunner
I got the 350 z rims on my 4th gen max. Someone let me know how to post some pics.

Yeah those are the ones I thought you were referring to. I don't have those, I have the other 18's. When mine come in, I'm gonna take them to the post office and get them to weigh them for me so I can know for sure. (No offense. I doesn't really even matter to me all that much. I'm just curious. Well, if my mileage goes to less than 20 regularly, then it will matter. But only then.)Originally Posted by Jeff92se

Your mileage won't suffer any significant amount. I'm running the G35 coupe wheels now. And I'm running the huge 245-45-18s in front (only way it clears). And even then, my mileage is okay. But can tell a diff in low end accerlation. But it's mostly because of the lower gearing that huge tire gives. 4-gen/5-gens can run these big tires in the rears for the staggered look and not have to worry too much about acceleration and mileage.

Staggered? I have heard different things, but I concluded that the wheels I have bought and am waiting to get are all the same offset 18X8 wheels. That means that the wheels come out away from the body of the car almost the same distance, more on the front if anything, since the front wheel base is a little wider on the fourth gen. So do you mean that the wall of the tires actually gives the staggered look? BTW, I plan to put 245/45's on all four of mine.Originally Posted by Jeff92se

Staggered in this case = 18x8 yes. But fronts = 225-45-18 and rears = 245-45-18. I run the widers ones on the rear. 4-5th gens can run the wider ones out back. Thus staggered.

What I have been asking about, though, is spacers for the rears. I'd like them to line up against the outer body the way the fronts do (or, will). Where can I get these spacers for less than an arm and a leg? And how hard are lugs to replace? I'm sure I'd need longer ones, wouldn't you say? Would the spacers have to be fabbed? Would it be recommended for safety's sake that I not go to my old college machine shop and fab some ma self? And where should I go for longer lugs? (I wouldn't dream of trying to thread some longer lugs myself.)
