2 questions

i have a 98 max i was wondering how much the stock hubs weigh (including the plastic cover LoL) and my second question is if i put some 18's on will it raise my car? i know the answer is no but some kid i work with is telling me differnt; just want to prove him wrong thanks.

the kid at work is right. If you put 18s on your car will be much higher. Hence the many "4x4" jokes made to cars with bigger rims with no drop.

The car may appear higher up but depending on your current wheel tire combo with the wheel tire combo that you get it may not actually raise up at all. Example, my stock wheels are 16" with 55 profile tires, I'm getting 18" with 40 profile talked with a few good performance wheel/tire shops here in town and they've basically told me the cars they did a switch like that on didnt raise at all and if they did it was very minimal. Either way it'll look way way better w/ a drop.

if you get the right size tire, your height will be the same. Your car will look higher off ground because of lower profile tires

in the area of $500, depending on what you get, and depending on if you buy used or all brand new.

you can get a very good deal on a drop, if you have a sharp eye and patience, but still it will be around $500 (without labor if you do the drop yourself)
