Gettin rims, need sug. on tire size

This will be a quick and simple question, but I'm getting new rims for my 97 SE (Konig Tuner2...18X7.5) and was curious what tire size you all would recommend if I plan on also lowering with Illuminas and S-techs. Should I go with 225/40/18, 225/45/18, 235/40/18, or 235/45/18? Thanks!

Hey man, I have 18x8 Enkei's and I got 235/40/18, I think is the most recommended size.

I got 18x8 OEM G35cp wheels and factory tires with them that are sized at 225/45....no rubbing issues with them. Oh yeah I'm on S-Techs too

Thanks for the input so far guys. I can see you both have 18X8s though. Anyone with 18X7.5s have anything to add? Thanks

You can fit 235 40-18 on 18x7.5, probably your best bet.

Thanks that's what I was thinking . I think I'm going to pickup some 235/40/18 BFGoodrich G-force Sports. They seem to be the best bang for your buck performance tire out there considering that they're Z speed rated and only $118 each

May I inquire where you're getting them?

Best price I can find is $110 shipped for Kumho ASX.

you should get at least 8" wide rims.

235/40/18s

Tirerack is where I got that price, and I may be able to get them even cheaper through the shop I work at I'll have to look into it.

Ammi...any words of wisdom behind your reasoning as to why I should get at least 8" wide rims? I don't see how it'd make a difference if I'd be running the same size tire on either...and we're only talkin about a 1/2 inch difference between rims
