Hi,

Does anyone know how much a stock alloy rim with tire weighs for a 95 Maxima GLE. I am trying to get my wife's GLE back to stock condition but her rims are trashed. I found some, but I am trying to figure out how much shipping will be. I know I can't get an exact weight, but I would like something close (or at least a reasonable guess).

I need the total weight for a rim with mounted tire.

P.S. It's the kind with the 14 holes around the edge.

well assming if you have one, why don't you step on a family scale. read how much you weigh, pick up the rim n step on the scale again. subtract that from your own weight and see what the difference is. this is what i do to figure out how many lbs something is

 

of just put the rim on the scale by itself ...

 

I am almost sure the stock rims wieght abotu 25 lbs, not sure if it is with tires or not...

 

25 lbs with tires.. haha no way. more like 45lbs.

 

my sawblades with tires are 44.5lbs each. 24 buxs to ship each wheel.

 

yup shouldnt be more than $25 to ship.

 

i paid 40 dollars to ship 4 sawblades via ups

 

I checked on USPS.

28x28x12 box at 50lbs. $16 each to ship, no problem.

The lady doesn't have boxes (and doesn't want to deal with it). I found boxes online for $25 for 10 boxes. But it's $93 to ship the boxes to her, because it's too big/heavy for UPS and has to be shipped by special freight.

Bummer! I guess I'll have to keep on looking.

 

hey rob the cheapest/best/fastest way to ship large packages is dhl.
i shipped a 64 lb box from miami florida to san antonio, texas for $31 and it got there in 2 days. try them! dhl-usa.com

 

I found FedEx to be the cheapest when shipping big items
