This may be a re-post and it isn't a "sticky," so i'm going to ask. What type of "performance" wheels do you guys have? "Performance" meaning light weight and still staying at the stock diameter; give or take an inch as well. THANKS

 

NISMO has a set of some really light weight 19" wheels. some guy on here has them. they look good on his max. you could go volk also.

 

Ya, I saw the NISMO and they are nice as all hell! But I dont have the $2,400 to spend right now....combined with new tires..lol but ya i checked his ride out, it was extremely nice with the catman lowering springs!

 

My wheels aren't lightweight but I got them for a great price so I went for em.

 

Mine are lightweight, 19 lbs and about same size as stock, -1/2" wider. Love em.

OK OK, so so here it is.....

I'm thinking about the Nismo 19" Gunmetal or the ADR-M 19" hyper Silvers. But no matter where I look I cant find info about the spoke clearance. I'm trying to figure out what the clearance is from the outside of the brake Caliper to the inside of the spoke.

This goes hand in hand with another project I'm working on with a brake developer who is making some Willwood stoppers for our babies.

I need the clearance info so I know which set of Rims to get.

light weight, or 2 / 3 piece rims will cost you big $$$$, but well worth it of you get them.. there are few one piece rims that are light weight tht you can find out there, good luck in your search...

Bottom line.... you get what you pay for.
My NISMO wheels were expensive, but ther fit like factory and weight 8 lbs less that the stock 18's. are 19 x 8.5 and are forger wheels made by VOLK A.k.a Rays Engineering. The lower unsprung weight makes the suspension react quicker as well as the engine will rev a bit faster. Less mass to spin.
Total pkg cost me 2500 with tires.

Yeah, not sure how much my weigh but I know they aren't light and aren't for performance. Those Nismo wheels are real nice for sure!!

 

HEHEHE, So it looks like IM GOING NISMO, after seeing those rims and the amount of Caliper Clearance they have on that Black Max im positive they will work great with my next project.

I would love to go with the ADR-M Hyper Silvers but I'm worried they will not have enough caliper clearance for the Willwood 4pots.

ADR's are garbage (personal experience) At least you know the Nismo wheels are made by Rays (Volk) and have a good rep...

 

"performance wheels" and having no money don't mix.

if you want top of the line performance wheels get ready to spend an arm and a leg.

 

I said i dont have the money RIGHT NOW, and yes i know that they are expensive as all hell

 

5zigen fno1r-c 17x8 (used at autocross/road racing only)...17lbs, very inexpensive. Kind of ugly though
