Tire help

Today I was trying to get some tires in a local tire shop around where i live i was thinking about getting some bridgestone turenzas 225/50/17, because i heard that they give a smooth quite ride. When i ask the guy for the tires he told me why i did nt get a pair of HANCOOK TIRES he said that the tires were just as good is that some bulls**t or is it ture. Im looking for a smooth comfortable ride with some traction. Is there any advise out there
Bridgestone tires cost about 170 each
and the hancook cost about 110 each

Need some help Please.

Thanks
