I apologize if this is in the wrong spot but it deals with tires and could be the cause of alot of issues with new rims/tires.

I ordered a set of 17x7 Kobe Rebels and received them in a decent amount of time. I mounted them on my car and took a test drive. Just backing out of my drive way I noticed it was wobbly. Not just a vibration, but it felt like the tires were misshaped. At this point I am freaking out because the guy I dealt with said I would not need hubcentric rings so it must have been something I did wrong. Still thinking I didn’t need hub rings, I called up my local auto shop and scheduled my tires to be balanced. Take note Wheels next balances the tires for free. At this point I had to go to work so I had to ride with my wheels like this for a good 15 minutes to and from work. The vibration was so bad when I got up to cruising speed I couldn’t hear inside of my car. Next day I take my car to the shop and the guy at the front desk tells me it didn’t sound like a balancing problem and that I should look into hubcentric rings. Their “tire guy” said he would pop the tire up on the machine and see if it was balanced or not. Immediately you could see the tire didn’t look right. It turns out the tire wasn’t fully inflated before they balanced it and the tire was off the bead. Therefore they didn’t balance it and just added weights to the wheel. They had to inflate the wheel until it “popped” back on and then the wheel needed to be rebalanced. It wasn’t just one tire, it was all four. The guys in the shop said my life was in danger by riding like this and the fact they were so negligent about it is bad practice. They get people in all the time that buy internet rims and they have to rebalance them because the company does a horrible job. I called up wheels next and they said because they balance the wheels for free they could only reimburse me $20. $20 for my life. Just by them popping the tires into place got rid of the wobble and now when I get a day off I’m just going to have them rebalance the tires, just to be safe. I am disappointed to say the least. They will never have my business again.

That is the very reason I bought my rims through a tire shop. First I searched on the internet for the cheapest price. Then I went to the tire shop and told them about the cheap price. I then told them that I want the price matched with free balancing and rotation for the life of the tire
