Powdercoating

Does anybody know of a good Powdercoating shop for rims in the northeast? I'm in New England and looking for a good place to send out my rims over the winter.

STOP!

DO NOT POWDERCOAT ALUMINUM WHEELS!!! (at least, not cast wheels. Forged wheels should be ok)

To quote someone else from a racing forum:
The curing process for powdercoating is typically between 350-450F. This extra heat cycle is extremely detrimental to the integrity of most cast aluminum alloys. They get brittle, crack, and snap when under heavy load, like what a wheel experiences. Most powdercoating shops do not have the $100k equipment needed for controlled temperature increases and decreases and this is extremely stressful on the metal. A mass produced wheel will have it's original coating done and cured by such a machine, if it is even powdercoated at all.
the moral of this story: paint your wheels or get a paint shop to paint them. DO NOT powdercoat them at some body shop, unless the shop has a multi-stage, multi-temperature powdercoating machine (95% of powdercoaters do NOT have this type of machine)

failure of powdercoated (by a shop, not by manufacturer) aluminum wheels is fairly common compared to failure of non-powdercoated wheels.

you realy want this to happen?

what do you mean? SSRs are almost all forged, but I still wouldn't get them powdercoated, if that's what you're asking. Just get a good quality paint job done on them if you want to change colors.
