Tire question....

I have some 17x8 wheels with khumo ecsta spt's in the front and khumo ecsta asx's in the back. The front tires are pretty much bald right now, and i have some replacement michelin pilot sport a/s tires already waiting in the garage. My question is: when i put the new tires on, should i have the more expensive softer tires on the front and the cheaper longer lasting ones in the back, or vice versa? I'm under the impression that the Michelins are more valuable and i should try and conserve those by putting them in the back. what do you guys think?

Why conserve and not take advantage? Do you have plastic covering your couches?

Just put the pair with more tread on the rear axle, then rotate as normal. That will help maintain traction.
